EP. 4- Patience & Commitment. Learn the meaning of patience & commitment in a way that guarantees you RESULTS.

March 30th, 2017 is a very important day for me. It was the very last time that I ever went to her nine-to-five job. But it didn’t happen overnight…

I weight up to 197 pounds for about 15 years. I lost weight. I’d lose 40 pounds and then gain 50, then lose again. It was a journey and she felt so stuck with my weight and food struggles for over a decade. By 2009, I got to a place where I had finally figured out the weight thing, how to love myself and my body and get to a place where it wasn’t a struggle.

I was determined to help other women get unstuck. I was determined that that was what I wanted to create and determined to get the skills necessary to be a master at that and be able to help any woman to get unstuck. It was my mission and purpose and the reason for my journey in the first place.

So on my birthday in 2009, I bought her domain name.

Fast forward EIGHT YEARS and it is now 2017. Finally, I have arrived at the place where my business is doing so well I no longer need a job.

I was working, dedicated, committed to the day when this would be how I would make a living and make a difference. What did it take to get to this place, to go from the idea in 2009 to the reality in 2017?

Commitment and Patience.

Sometimes it is hard to be patient. It is uncomfortable to stay committed. It really requires work.

For me, though, there was never a plan B. I was always looking in this direction and moving towards this goal.

It is the same whether it’s weight loss or business development.

When you really, really want something, it’s important to look at your commitment.

Are you really committed to it?

Do you really want to do this?

Are you all in?

So many women tell themselves they want weight loss, and yet the way they want those results is by a quick fix. We want it to just take 3 weeks and be easy.

Building things and creating results is not easy or comfortable. It takes work. It takes commitment. It takes patience.

Ask yourself these questions:

  • Am I willing to be patient until I get to my goal?
  • Am I willing to put in the work, however much work it requires, to get to my goal to create that result that I want?
  • Am I fully committed to doing whatever I need to do until I get there?
  • Am I committed to losing this weight and taking action no matter how long it takes?
  • Am I committed to losing this weight and getting to my goal weight, even if it gets difficult?
  • Am I committed to getting this result that I want and taking action even when it’s uncomfortable to continue?
  • Am I committed to getting this result that I want and taking action even if I feel doubt, worry, and fear?
  • Am I committed to creating this result that I want and taking action even on those days when I don’t feel like it or when I’m really tired?
  • Am I committed to getting this result, to losing this weight and taking action even if I feel like I’m too busy and I don’t have time?
  • Am I committed to trying as many strategies and approaches until something works to get this result?
  • Am I committed to finding a solution to any obstacle that arises in order to get this results?

Your answer to all of these questions should be yes.

If any of the answers to any of those questions are no, then you’re not 100% committed. The results that you’re looking for are going to require 100% commitment. They’re also going to require patience. Be patient with yourself to get there, even if it takes some time.

Being committed to a result requires you to stay committed and try a lot of strategies until you get there.

Maybe being committed does mean getting some help and getting some support from someone who knows exactly what to do. Hiring a coach, having mentors and joining support groups.

Sometimes when you put money into something, you put a little skin in the game, and that gets you committed at a different level.

Are you all in?

The way that you’re going to be able to get there is by being committed 100%.
