EP. 88- HABIT REVERSAL- How to change the eating habits that have kept you stuck for years or even decades.

Welcome to The Last Ten Podcast. The topic of today is habit reversal. One of the main things that keep women from getting to their goal is habits. A habit is anything that we do and have done for a certain amount of time repeatedly. When we do something so many times it’s almost as if our brain goes into autopilot and those actions start to feel automated.

What are your habits that keep you from getting to your goal? It’s important that you identify the habits for you that keep you from reaching your goals and living the life you want to live. Habits by definition are not bad, they are simply a pattern of behavior that is repeated regularly. A habit can be very useful in some cases. In other cases, some habits can be detrimental and aren’t aligned with your goals.

Consider writing down your eating habits or your food habits that you know are keeping you stuck. If something becomes a habit through consistent repetition, it is possibly to unlearn a habit. How we do that is also through repetition. Except we need to repeat the activity of not doing that habit.

Every single habit consists of a psychology process called a habit loop. There is always a thought before a behavior happens. The best way to break a habit is to understand the structure of that habit. This is not about will power or deprivation, it’s about powering into our brains. The key is to be aware and then notice your desire to respond to it.
