Welcome to The Last Ten Podcast. Today I will be sharing some crucial information in order to change. Self-confidence is the key to success. This will radically change your weight loss experience and your life experience.

Self-confidence is a feeling of trust in one’s ability, qualities and choice. It’s absolutely important. Many women tend to struggle with self-confidence and are fully confident in their choices. There are two prerequisites to self-confidence. Those are self-acceptance and self-appreciation. Self-acceptance is an acceptance of yourself as you are. Self-appreciation is a feeling of appreciation or gratitude for all of who we are as an individual.

People pleasing and wanting so badly to fit in or be approved can steer us away from self-acceptance. The reason why it’s really important to really accept and appreciate yourself is because when you don’t truly accept yourself as the human that you are, then when you are in a social situation you will feel insecure and inadequate. In these feelings of insecurity, we run to food and drink to escape those feelings. When you don’t fully accept and appreciate yourself, you won’t be able to maintain or create results because you will constantly be seeking the approval of others, including eating or drinking to feel approved by others, to not stand out or be different.

Being strong in who you are is the key to being confident. Love your decisions so much you don’t need others to love them too. Think about times in your life when you sacrifice what you might want to say or do in order to fit in or be approved by others.

I encourage you to think about what makes you, you. Get to know yourself. Who are you? What do you love? What makes you happy? Grab a piece of paper and a pen and spend some time asking yourself who you are. Look at your paper and ask yourself if you can appreciate all that you are. It’s still okay if you want to change something about yourself. Although there is a difference between wanting to change and feeling like you have to change to be accepted.
