Here’s the thing: OUR HUMANS BRAINS ARE DESIGNED TO SEEK PLEASURE AND AVOID PAIN. (It’s part of something called the Motivational Triad!)
In short, it makes TOTAL sense for us as humans to seek forms of ‘Escapism’.
ESCAPISM is defined as a mental diversion within our daily life and /or an ‘escape’ from the day-to-day routine activities.
I can’t tell you how many women I’ve coached who have told me that they don’t know how to relax, and that their ONLY method of escapism involves food.
In this week’s podcast episode, I teach you the importance of NOT judging yourself or ANY forms of escapism but instead, to simply understand your mind, your brain, your choices, actions and results so that you can do ‘ESCAPISM’ ON PURPOSE. (That’s ultimately what matters.)
