Now let’s talk about struggle, specifically how to eliminate it. I struggled for decades with feeling helpless, but I never gave up on achieving my goals. Whether weight loss goals or professional goals, I always keep pushing to achieve each and every one. You should never stop trying to achieve your goals, but today I’m going to teach you about a tool I use to stop feeling like I’m struggling to meet those goals.

What You Think About, You Bring About

It’s so true. If you think about the struggle, if you think about how hard it is, if you think about how stuck you are, guess what you’re going to feel? You’re going to feel feeling of struggle. I want you to stop thinking about struggle as an adjective and to start thinking about struggle as a feeling that you create. Struggle is a feeling just like success is a feeling.  Today we’re going to talk about how to feel success vs. struggle.

Just like every other feeling, you create it with your thoughts. What You Think About, You Bring About! If your thoughts are focused on your struggle, that’s what you’re going to feel. If they’re focused on success, guess what? That’s what you’re going to feel!

You can keep taking action towards creating the thing that you want without the feeling of struggle! The struggle piece is totally optional! The reason you struggle is because you keep thinking about struggling! Stop thinking about struggle as an adjective. Start thinking about struggle as something you create! You get to feel however you want to about your weight loss process!

Do you want to feel like you’re struggling? Like you’re stuck? No! You want to feel like you’re a success! In this episode, I give you two great examples of people that came to me feeling stuck, and how we worked together to help them realize that they weren’t stuck, that they weren’t struggling, and that they needed to manifest their own success!

Long story short there are two different kinds of stories I hear on a regular basis when it comes to being stuck. The first kind has to do with rate. I have clients come to me all the time and tell me they’re stuck when they’re really just losing weight slower than they’d like. All weight loss is success!! If you’re following your plan and losing weight THAT IS SUCCESS!!!

The other kind of story has to do with consistency. You have to be consistent in following and being adherent to your plans! If you’re not losing weight because you’re not being adherent to the plan, you’re doing yourself a disservice! You’re not stuck! Your results are simply being reflective of your level of commitment! You can’t get level 10 results with level 6.5 commitment! I’ve never encountered a client that was 100% committed for 3 weeks without ⅓ of a pound of weight loss. Your level of commitment equals your level of success!

So many of us are so completely used to struggling! I can completely relate! The struggle can almost become a part of your identity. Does the struggle feel like it’s become a part of your life? A part of your identity? Guess what!? It’s not! What you need to do is simple. It won’t be easy. It will require effort on your part, but all you have to do is change the way you think. What You Think About, You Bring About! You feel successful when you think you’re successful! That’s a choice! Whether you’re losing 1 ½ pounds or 5 pounds, that’s success! Look for evidence of success, not struggling or being stuck!

An emotion in motion stays in motion!!! If you’re feeling success and feeling successful, you’ll bring success into your life! If you’re feeling struggle, you’ll feel struggle! I want to challenge you this week too, if you’re feeling stuck or feeling like you’re struggling, to shift your thoughts to success. Choose to feel successful over feeling stuck and struggling.
